A proud member of T Rippon Mid Essex League

The Club

Ekco Monarchs and Trojans Cricket Club was formed in 2002 when Trojans CC merged with Ekco Monarchs CC. The new club, EMTCC, took Ekco Monarch's place in Division 3 of the T Rippon Mid-Essex cricket league. The new club, however, was too strong for that division, winning it at the first attempt.

EMTCC is more than just a first team playing at a competitive level. The club began with four teams playing on Saturdays and a Sunday side playing several friendlies and in the Evening Standard Challenge Trophy.

The youth setup at the club has also grown dramatically over the past few seasons, mainly due to the efforts of Kevin Grant, Danny Saggers and Graeme Winn. EMTCC now have teams at U11, U13 and U15 with several of the older boys pushing for places in the mens teams.

The Club's main success has come from the 1st XI with successive wins in Division 3, 2, 1 and then in 2005 collecting the Premier Division title. A well deserved honour, especially for those who had seen the club move up through the divisions in the previous seasons.
